Hotel Style Coconut Chutney || ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಕಾಯಿ ಚಟ್ನಿ || south Indian Breakfast Chutney
Ingredients
For grinding :
1 cup freshly grated coconut
1/2 cup roasted Bengal gram
4 to 5 green chillies
A small piece of Ginger
1/2 tspn salt
1/4 cup chopped corainder leaves
1/2 cup water
For Tempering :
1 tspn cooking oil
1/4 tspn mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
A pinch of asafoetida
Method : Add all the above mentioned grinding ingredients into a mixer jar and grind it into a chutney consistency. do not grind it too fine. Now add the chopped coriander leaves and mix it in the grinder for 2 to 3 seconds By adding Green leaves at the last gives a nice texture to the chutney heat a small pan add oil, once the oil is hot add mustard seeds and once the mustard seeds splutter add Curry leaves and Hing mix this tempering to grinded Chutney coconut chutney goes well with idli , dosa, pongal, upma and any kind of South Indian breakfast.
